Tuesday, May 16th: Mayor Mary Esther Reed presented the Friends of Smyrna Library a Proclamation recognizing both Friends of Smyrna Library and The Linebaugh Library Foundation for the awards each group received at the April 7, meeting of the Tennessee Library Associaton. Friends of Smyrna won the Friends of the Year Award, and the Foundation received the TLA Making a Difference Award for outstanding contributions and continued support of a specific program and/or services that are instrumental in the growth or improvement of literacy, awareness and/or information delivery to the community or libraries.
Mayor Reed presented Smyrna Friends Chair, Theresa Pickett with the Proclamation.
