Smyrna WKH Winter Reading Program

2022 Walter King Hoover Winter Reading Program

Stop by Smyrna Library to sign up for the WKH Winter Reading Program January 13 - February 22! The program is available for teens (14+) and adults. Read five books before February 22. All adult, YA, honor, ebooks and audiobooks count toward the program. Please enter all books read on your WRP log, listing the title and author.

There will be 5 weekly door prize drawings beginning January 18. To be eligible to enter the weekly drawings, you must read at least 1 book. You must write the title and author on your log. Then show your log to a staff member at the front desk to receive your door prize slip. The weekly door prize drawing slips need to be turned in before 5:00 pm every Saturday on the following dates: (January 18 & 25 – February 1, 8, & 15). All winners will be notified by phone.

Completion Prizes:
All participants who finish 5 books will be eligible to receive a COMPLETION PRIZE & 1 entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. Completion prizes are available beginning February 10 thru February 29.

Walter King Hoover was a long-time Smyrna resident and historian. He was active in the community and supported both the Smyrna Public Library and Friends of the Library in various ways. Mr. Hoover had always wanted to see more adult-oriented programming at the library. This annual program is in his honor.
