We are pleased to report that sufficient staffing is in place to reopen to the public on Wednesday, August 5!

The Smyrna branch of the Rutherford County Library System has had an employee to test positive for COVID-19. While the source of the exposure is unknown, the employee was following all guidelines set forth in our Phase 2 plan including wearing a mask and gloves while at work. We keep the safety of all our employees and patrons as a top priority. We have taken all the precautions to make sure that the facility is as safe as possible. The building has been cleaned and all safety measures have been taken including the use of a UVC lamp throughout the building.

We have been following all safety guidelines throughout the system since we reopened in June and will continue to do so as we move forward. Senior hour (9-10AM) and curbside service continue to be available at our Linebaugh and Smyrna branches. Thank you for all your support and understanding.
