Linebaugh Public Library is pleased to host three local authors for book signings in October after a long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wendy Hambrock will be signing copies of her children’s fantasy book, Sarah’s Journey, on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Maryanne Vandyke will be offering the first two books in her Dog Tail Detective Series on Tuesday, October 6, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Jim Sandman will close out the month with a signing of his book, Heaven Is Like Eternal Sex: And Other Things You Really Desire - 18 Daily Readings, on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Sarah’s Journey, by Hambrock is about twelve-year-old Sarah Fenley, who doesn't feel like she fits in. Her awkward appearance and rocky relationship with her mother leave her wishing for a better life, one including a particularly cute boy. When she finds an old book one day, she has no idea how it will help her. Emotions run high as Sarah's life begins to change drastically before her very eyes. Follow her journey through its many twists and turns in this exciting and magical, yet relatable tale.

Vandyke’s debut manuscript, Dog Daze of Summer, is an adult mystery told in the voice of Sammy, the protagonist's Shih Tzu. Surrounded by her eccentric and complicated southern family, some of whom hide dangerous secrets, Izzie is fortunate to have Sam as her protector and confidant. Her faithful Shih Tzu is her loving companion as she struggles to untangle her childhood memory of her father's murder when she was only six years old. Sammy leads the reader through the dark twists and turns of the story, while providing comic relief as he does his dog-gone best to make sense of Izzie's world.

Heaven Is Like Eternal Sex by Sandman asks the question: What do you desire most - Love? Peace? Wealth? Adventure? Sexual intimacy? How about a good high? Super powers? To be the best you? Freedom? Do you have other longings? Would you like to have every deep-seated desire completely satisfied, and for eternity? You can! You were meant to. But you have a choice to make. And the offer has been available since the beginning of time. This book will point you to the answer.
