New Branch Librarian at Smyrna Public Library

The Rutherford County Library System (RCLS) is pleased to welcome Ginger Graves as the new Branch Librarian for Smyrna Public Library. Graves began her new position on August 1.

Graves has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and her Master of Arts in Education, both from Western Kentucky University. She started her career as an elementary school teacher before shifting over to public libraries. In 2013, Ms. Graves became the Circulation Supervisor at the Portland Public Library of Sumner County. In 2014, she was hired as the Library Manager over the Millersville Public Library, a new facility she helped open. She has served as the Library Manager for the past 4 years leading a team dedicated to providing excellent patron service, a diverse book and media collection, free internet access and Wi-Fi to community members, and as well as starting a Hotspot lending program.

She is a member of the Tennessee Library Association and is currently enrolled in the Public Library Management Institute (PLMI) program offered by the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Ms. Graves is looking forward to meeting and getting to know the citizens of the Town of Smyrna and Rutherford County.

Linebaugh Public Library is located at 105 W. Vine St. in Murfreesboro. Smyrna Public Library is located at 400 Enon Springs Rd. West in Smyrna. Eagleville Bicentennial Public Library is located at 317 Hwy 99E in Eagleville. MGL Library is located inside Patterson Park Community Center at 521 Mercury Blvd. in Murfreesboro.
