Author Ken Vanderpool will be the 2023 featured author for the Friends of Linebaugh Library Author Luncheon on Saturday, January 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Woman’s Club at 221 E. College Street, Murfreesboro. Vanderpool is the author of five novels in the Music City Murder series which have been optioned by Chase Chenowith and Hollywood’s Back Fence Productions. Vanderpool is a life-long fan of Crime Suspense and Thriller fiction who began to write his own in 2006 following an eye-opening medical procedure.

Sargent Mike Neal and Detective Cris Vega solve crimes in Vanderpool’s novels ranging from murders in the Kurdish community to a Belle Meade mansion and draw from the worlds of politics, music, and sports. Vanderpool’s novels are When the Music Dies, Face the Music, Stop the Music, Kill the Music, and his newly released Background Music. Vanderpool’s books will be for sale at the luncheon, and he will gladly autograph purchased books. Vanderpool has generously donated copies of each novel to be given away as door prizes at the luncheon.

Members can purchase discounted tickets for the event catered by Tasty Table for $15 with a paid membership or $20 without membership or for non-member guests. This can be done at the circulation desk at Linebaugh Library or can be mailed to Friends of Linebaugh Library, P.O. Bos 2903, Murfreesboro, TN 37133-2903.
