The Rutherford County Library System is growing, and with that growth, efforts are being made to make sure library materials are getting to the five branches in a timely manner. Linebaugh Library Branch Librarian Carol Ghattas dreams of a time when books and videos can be rolled onto a new transit truck, eliminating the heavy lifting of crates.

After presenting her dream to the Friends of Linebaugh Library board, they agreed to take on the fundraising campaign to accept donations for the purchase of a new transit vehicle. This holiday season, those who donate to the cause can receive a special gift of a Norris Hall print, set of postcards or canvas, depending on the level of giving.

“I’m so pleased that we are able to share these special prints with our donors,” says Ghattas. “It’s a great way for patrons who love his work to have a keepsake while also helping the library to raise funds for the truck.”

Stop by Linebaugh to see a sample of the prints and to contribute to the transit truck campaign, which will continue throughout the month of December.
