At the June 18, 2018 meeting of the Rutherford County Library System Board of Directors, the difficult decision was made to reduce the operating hours of the Smyrna branch of the Rutherford County Library System as a result of funding shortfalls.
Effective Monday, July 23, 2018, Smyrna Public Library will be open the following hours:
- Mondays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Fridays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but with current expenses as they are, concessions must be made in order to balance the operating budget and continue to provide the best library service possible to the citizens of Smyrna. Please feel free to utilize our online resources and/or other branches (Linebaugh, MGL, Eagleville and the Technology Engagement Center).
